GX DEV IEC is a Windows based
programming package that supports the full line of
Mitsubishi PLCs. GX-DEV has support for the following PLCs:
FX0(S), FX0N, FX1, FX1S/1N, FXU/FX2C, FX2N(C), A0J2H, A1FX,
A1S(S1), A1SJ, A1SH, A1SJH, A1N, A2C, A2CJ, A2N(S1),

GX-DEV is capable of
communicating to a Mitsubishi PLC by means of the
programming port, Ethernet, modem, and Mitsubishi networks
(including MelsecNet/10 and CC-Link). For connecting to the
PLC front port, the SC09 programming cable must be purchased
separately. Also included on the GX Developer CD are the GX
Converter and GX Explorer software add-ons.

Easy to use MS Windows based software that requires no
prior experience or training
Program elements are placed on screen, with inputs on the
left and outputs on the right. All that remains is to
point and click predefined function blocks (timers,
counters, logic blocks etc.) in between. Connecting it all
together, or wiring, is drawn graphically by mouse click
to build up the logic.
Once a program has been created a built in simulation
function can be used to ease programming effort even
further. Local testing of the program can be achieved
separate from the controller eliminating any chance of
actual malfunction or damage to the hardware.
Online monitoring and process visualization shows the real
status of inputs/outputs and function blocks. The system
sketch window is a separate area where a graphical image
of the process can be built and control elements copied
over from the main program. During monitoring the program
elements will then be clearly associated with the actual
process elements.
